Multiple speculations can be found online about the iPhone 17 but technology journalist Mark Gurman reveals some of these claims are inaccurate. X user @MajinBuOfficial, known for early Apple leaks, shared an image purportedly showing the iPhone 17 design. The redesigned camera module shows horizontally aligned primary and ultrawide cameras on a raised camera bar according to the render. The iPhone 17 Air appears to have a single-camera setup which creates a distinction from the Pro version as shown in the rumored phone. However, technology expert Mark Gurman called the iPhone 17 Pro renders “based on a fake late January sketch.” The alleged CAD design according to @MajinBuOfficial was shown to experts who revealed it to be a hoax based on his previous post. Even though experts verified some design elements the renders could represent active design testing according to some observers. The iPhone 17 Air was highlighted by another leak which quickly made its way around the internet. The new model reportedly includes a 6.6-inch OLED display A19 chip along with 8GB RAM and a 24MP front camera and a 48MP rear camera. The device stands out because it does not have a SIM card tray which would make it Apple’s first iPhone to contain their internal 5G chip. The leaked information has created buzz but no one knows if Apple plans to launch a new Air model or if these features will be included in the iPhone 17 design. Apple plans to unveil the product in September 2025 which gives fans ample opportunity to continue speculating about the phone.
