Ola Electric has unveiled the much-awaited Gen 3 electric scooter lineup, which includes the S1 Pro, S1 Pro+, S1 X, and S1 X+. These models are powered by Ola’s latest MoveOS 5 platform to increase efficiency and performance. The Pro+ is the largest among the bunch with a 320km range and a top speed of 141kmph. The new scooters are powered by a mid-drive motor and an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU) for better efficiency. Ola has also introduced ’Brake by Wire’ technology that can improve range by 15% and brake pad life. Ola has gone for chain drives with pre-lubricated O-rings instead of the belt drive system previously used, making it more durable. Ola’s pricing strategy makes the new models competitive. The S1 X starts at ₹79,999 and the flagship Pro+ starts at ₹1,69,999. Order has started and the delivery is expected to begin from the middle of February. It also confirmed the launch of its Roadster X electric motorcycle on February 5, 2025. However, Ola will still be offering Gen 2 models for purchase at lower prices. The company has grown to have a 25% market share and has increased its store network up to 4,000 stores across India. In the meantime, Ola Electric’s stock has risen by more than 12% after the company announced the launch of the Gen 3 models in India.
