Veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu and his younger son Manchu Manoj got into a public fight on Tuesday. Mohan’s older son, Vishnu Manchu, who just got back from Los Angeles, spoke about the incident during a news conference. The situation became more heated after Mohan claimed that Manoj and his wife, Bhuma Mounika, were planning to seize his land. Manoj was then observed trying to break into Mohan’s home in Jalpally, Hyderabad. Mohan Babu allegedly got into a physical brawl with a video journalist during the incident.
In his defence of his father, Vishnu said, “The only mistake my father has made is to love us all a lot.” He also verified that his father is presently in the hospital. Since no family is flawless, I continue to hold out hope that there will be improvement. My father just responded in the heat of the moment when his space was violated; he did not mean to do harm to the reporter. Since what transpired was regrettable, I am in communication with the reporter’s family. However, I am not entitled to correct my father.
Additionally, Vishnu disclosed that the Rachakonda police had contacted him and his father for an inquiry. He responded, “I’ll meet them out of respect for them, even though I wasn’t in the country.” In response to rumours that Manoj’s marriage to Mounika was not approved by his family, Vishnu denied the allegations. He said, “I hope Manoj lives a hundred years in good health and prosperity. He got married and has a child now.” It isn’t the marriage which is a problem. All my father wants is for my brother to leave his house since he has worked hard for every rupee he has today.
In the midst of the continuous conflict, Manoj’s sister and Mohan Babu’s daughter, Lakshmi Manchu, tweeted mysterious comments. On Thursday morning, she posted a message from Marcus Aurelius, the former Roman emperor, on X (previously Twitter). It said, “What are you afraid of losing, when nothing in the world actually belongs to you?”She also said, “I just don’t want that for myself anymore, is a valid reason to stop anything,” in another comment on her Instagram stories.
When Mohan Babu filed a police complaint on Monday, alleging that Manoj and Bhuma Mounika had assaulted him and plotted to take his property, the dispute started. However, Manoj did not name any family members in his counter-complaint, which he filed with the police, claiming bodily assault. When mayhem broke out at Mohan Babu’s home in Jalpally on Tuesday, tensions reached a breaking point. According to reports, private security guards stationed at the property pulled Manoj back as he attempted to break in.
