Blinkit has joined forces with telecom major Airtel to deliver SIM cards to your doorstep in just 10 minutes, changing the way users connect. The new partnership was launched on April 15 and the service is available in 16 major Indian cities including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
Airtel SIM cards can now be ordered from Blinkit and the convenience fee is ₹49. The SIM can be activated through a quick Aadhaar-based KYC process from the comfort of home, without the need to visit a store or fill out paperwork.
Customers can opt for prepaid or postpaid plans or even port their existing number to Airtel using Mobile Number Portability (MNP). After delivery, users must activate the SIM within 15 days for a smooth transition.
New users can call 9810012345 for support and the Airtel Thanks App offers assistance. Albinder Dhindsa, Blinkit CEO, shared on social media that Airtel’s new flow allows for simple Aadhaar-based self-verification at home.
Bharti Airtel’s stock price increased by 2.92% to ₹1,352, while Blinkit’s parent Eternal saw a 2.62% rise, closing at ₹222.90.
