HDFC Bank has announced two essential maintenance periods for May 9 and 10, 2025 which will impact multiple key banking operations. The maintenance will affect UPI operations together with net banking services and debit and credit card transactions as well as loan and demat services. The digital infrastructure upgrade through maintenance will occur during early morning hours to minimize disruptions to customers.
The use of debit cards through both online and offline channels will experience disruptions from 12:30 AM to 2:30 AM IST on May 9. HDFC Bank cardholders will not be able to make e-commerce payments between 12:30 AM and 2:00 AM IST. The unavailability of credit card services including statement access will occur from 1:00 AM until 4:00 AM IST.
The service disruptions will continue on May 10 when the bank will shut down its net banking platform and mobile application from 2:30 AM until 5:30 AM IST. The service outage will affect UPI together with NEFT and IMPS and RTGS and merchant payments. The major UPI downtime will extend from 2:30 AM until 6:30 AM. The suspension of loan and demat services will occur between 4:30 AM and 7:00 AM.
HDFC Bank advises customers to finish all necessary transactions before the maintenance period starts.
