At Mumbai Tech Week, by Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani, his father Mukesh Ambani was pointed as the biggest inspiration. In a conversation with Dream Sports CEO Harsh Jain, he explained that growing up in a small family taught him lessons about values and dreams.
Akash Ambani pointed out that Mukesh Ambani is an indefatigable worker, and after four decades in the industry, he personally responds to every email up to 2AM. He continued, “My father to this day reads through every single email that is sent to him, working until two in the morning.” He said.
He also talked about his mother, Nita Ambani and her attention to detail in particular when it comes to their common interest in cricket. “She can see things that the rest of us don’t even notice and that is something that I find really admirable,” he added.
When asked whether he would rather work from 8 am to 5 pm or 5 pm to 8 am, Akash Ambani said that he works more than 12 hours a day. This he owes to his wife Shloka Mehta for having to endure his long working hours.
