Tata Motors has obtained a deal to provide 150 Tata Prima 5530.S LNG trucks to Clean Green Fuel and Logistics, with the first batch of vehicles handed over at a ceremony in the city and the remainder trucks to be supplied gradually. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed by both firms to deliver a further 350 units of Prima 5530.S LNG.
The fuel-efficient Cummins 6.7L petrol engine that powers the Prima 5530.S LNG produces 280 horsepower and 1100 Nm of torque, with a range of more than 1000 km. For surface transportation and long-distance commercial operations, it comes in single-fuel and dual-fuel cryogenic tank versions; the latter provides a greater range and increased operating efficiency.
In addition to offering driver comfort, the high-end Prima interior has systems like the Gear Shift Advisor that optimise fuel consumption, boost productivity, and save operating expenses. The truck also comes with Fleet Edge, which helps with fleet management, increasing vehicle uptime, and lowering total ownership expenses.
“As a two-year-old start-up, we have made significant strides in the logistics industry and remain committed to revolutionising operations with green fuel solutions,” Milan Donga, Director, of Clean Green Fuel and Logistics, said in a statement marking the event. Our fleet now includes Tata Motors’ cutting-edge LNG tractors, which is a significant step towards cleaner operations.
With the lowest operating costs and the best after-sales support, Tata Motors is at the forefront of transforming mobility into something greener and more sustainable.
