The new three-wheeler electric brand, E-Vi is developed by Greenway Mobility. Two innovative electric automobiles, Chhota Otto and Chhota Bull, will be available starting in the fourth quarter of FY24. It also plans to introduce Rydan, a fast-moving Passenger Electric Rickshaw offering affordable, accessible, safe and green mobility solutions for both urban and rural populations.
Utilising cost-effective L5-grade components in L3 cars, the company fixed the price of Chhota Otto and Chhota Bull at Rs. 2 lakhs each. The Chhota Otto also has individual suspension on all the wheels; it has comfortable height-adjustable seats that can be folded down to allow the passenger to transport items. Built for urban logistics, mainly last-mile connectivity in hilly areas, Chhota Bull has a 400 kg payload and IoT-equipped brake hydraulics and remote tracking.
Greenway Mobility will also bring out Rydan, a high-speed passenger electric rickshaw with features such as hydraulic disc brakes for all wheels and multi-speed automatic transmission, among others. It will have several new features never seen before in the industry, plus an improved range and a capability for tackling inclined slopes.
Siddharth Patel, Founder of Greenway Mobility, who graduated from IIT Bombay and later from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, said, “India lacks practical mobility solutions for both urban and rural settings that are not only economically and environmentally sustainable but are also tough enough to withstand the dynamism of the country”. The purpose of E-Vi is not only to electrify the three-wheeler mobility market in India but also to establish our strong distribution channel with our strategic partners to achieve unparalleled growth through quality and standard. As for the broader ecosystem that we are creating to augment all this to the benefit of the end use, issues of access, a national service footprint, low-cost financing, swappable batteries, and charging infrastructure are already being addressed by this.
Harsh Raval, Founder of Greenway Mobility, is confident that the E-Vi’s superior technologies will revolutionalise the perception of three-wheeler mobility in India, noting: “At Greenway Mobility… every part of the E-Vi vehicles has been designed and built with a focus on outperforming competitors’ vehicles on all fronts.” Our vision of them is the sense that we would wish to offer drivers cars that they can rely on, cars that enable them to accomplish more, travel further and be more productive in their endeavours. Quality is our prime concern which we are working vigorously, and we will be using the components only from the best Indian companies. As the number of electric vehicles in our portfolio increases, we are determining the future of mobility.”
The company with E-Vi looks to increase to over 100 franchises in markets across the country by the end of 2024, in line with the brand’s theme to transform the electric three-wheeler market by December 2025. For instance, E-Vi manufactures and innovates its products for use in the Indian market and roadway conditions while providing affordable solutions to clients.
There is always an open invitation for Greenway Mobility to work with some of its key distributors and collaborators to accomplish the set objectives. The firmly established and assembled within the country three-wheeler vehicles of the company have quality, utility values and low maintenance costs as their planning factors. Greenway is also focusing on R&D to incorporate electric bikes, trikes and compact electric cars for personal as well as for official purposes. For the same reason, the company’s target is audience interaction, and its sustainability is guaranteed.
