During April 2025 Hyundai Motor India delivered 60,774 units which represented a 5% decrease from the 63,701 units sold during the same period in 2024. The company marked a historic milestone by reaching 9 million total sales since its Indian operations began in 1996.
During April the company delivered 44,374 domestic units and 16,400 export units. The Indian automotive market experienced continuous difficulties in April 2025 because domestic sales decreased to 44,374 units from 50,201 units in April 2024. Hyundai achieved substantial growth in export numbers reaching 13,500 units from the previous year because the company continues its worldwide expansion.
Tarun Garg who serves as Hyundai Motor India COO explained that the domestic market faces ongoing challenges yet the company stays committed to the ‘Make in India, Made for the World’ mission. The company reached a major 21.5% increase in export volume during April 2025 while its January to April export numbers increased by 16.2% compared to the previous year.
Garg stressed Hyundai’s commitment to deliver better value to customers while building its market leadership position. The company intends to begin operations at its Talegaon manufacturing facility during the fourth quarter of 2025 to increase production capacity for rising market demand.
The decline in April sales did not impact Hyundai’s positive outlook because the company maintains strong export growth and plans major production expansion for both domestic and international markets.
