Major artificial intelligence companies including OpenAI and Perplexity and Anthropic have chosen India as their new talent acquisition destination because of its expanding technology workforce. The companies continue their active search for engineers and product specialists and researchers and sales experts to build up their operations in the region.
OpenAI starts its hiring process by bringing in senior sales personnel and client interaction experts before adding technical experts and researchers to their team. Perplexity dedicates its recruitment efforts to business development and partnership building while Anthropic will start with country head and sales personnel hiring before adding applied AI and engineering staff members.
The main recruitment activities will take place in Bengaluru and Hyderabad and Delhi-NCR which serve as India’s primary technology centers. The availability of experienced AI professionals in India remains restricted because numerous leading engineers have chosen to work outside the country. The companies might require internal training programs to create their own skilled AI workforce because they lack sufficient qualified candidates in the local market.
OpenAI plans to launch its first New Delhi office during late 2025 while Anthropic plans to launch its Bengaluru branch during early 2026. The expansion of these international AI companies in India will experience a technological transformation in its employment sector and artificial intelligence development will receive increased momentum.
