UltraTech Cement increased its home production capabilities through the successful launch of 1.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) cement production capacity. The company achieved this expansion through multiple efficiency-boosting and debottlenecking initiatives at its main facilities.
UltraTech Cement announced through regulatory reporting that its Nagpur grinding unit now operates at 0.6 mtpa capacity while its Panipat and Jhajjar Haryana plants each increased their production to 0.4 mtpa. The strategic facility enhancements have elevated UltraTech Cement’s domestic grey cement production capabilities to 184.76 mtpa. The company now operates at 190.16 mtpa total global capacity after expanding its international production to 5.4 mtpa.
The capacity increase occurred after UltraTech Cement demonstrated its strong Q4 results through a consolidated net profit of ₹2,482.04 crore which showed a 9.92% annual growth. The operations revenue increased by 12.95% to reach ₹23,063.32 crore while EBITDA achieved ₹4,618.4 crore. The company achieved a 17% increase in sales volumes during the quarter reaching 41.02 million metric tonnes.
UltraTech Cement reached a green milestone by surpassing 1 GW of captive renewable energy capacity which made it one of the first industrial companies in India to accomplish this achievement.
