X slashes subscription prices in India by as much as 48%, making its premium, premium-plus, and basic plans more affordable for users. The platform’s latest update shows that premium account pricing through mobile app now costs ₹470 instead of ₹900 per month and web users pay ₹427 instead of ₹650 per month which represents a 34% reduction.
The basic subscription price on X has been reduced to ₹170 per month which represents a 30% decrease from the previous ₹243.75. Basic annual plans now cost ₹1,700 instead of the previous ₹2,590.48 after a 34% price reduction. The premium-plus plan now costs ₹2,570 on the web after a 26% price reduction from ₹3,470 and ₹3,000 on mobile instead of the previous ₹5,100.
The price reductions enable more users to access features including post editing and content writing and background playback and video downloading and ad-free experiences. Premium-plus subscribers gain access to exclusive features including SuperGrok and article publishing capabilities.
