The Indian cricket team has been performing so well lately that the BCCI (Bangladesh Cricket Association) has decided to extend the contract of Coach Rahul Dravid and his group. On Wednesday, November 29,they announced the news in the press statement.
Dravid’s contract expired in 2023 after the World cup, but after speaking with him, the BCCI decided to working with him. The BCCI has decided to retain Dravid as its head coach, along with Vikram Rathour, paras Mhambrey, and T Dilip. The duration of the contracts was not specified, but it appears that Dravid will be in charge at least until the 2024 T20 World Cup. The Indian Board of Cricket control communicated this decision.
Once the ICC Men’s Cricket World cup 2023 was over, the Board of control for cricket in India (BCCI) had frank discussions with Rahul Dravid, Whose first coaching contract had ended, and agreed to keep him as India’s head coach for an additional year.
Following the 2021 T20 World Cup, Dravid was first named head coach of the Indian men’s squad. After replacing Ravi Shahstri as captain of India, the former captain added paras Mhambrey, Vikram Rathour, and t Dilip to the coaching staff.
India won their only multi-nation title under Dravid’s direction in 2023 when they won the Asia cup in srilanka. In addition to leading the National Cricket academy (ACA) in Bangalore, VVS Laxman is now the acting coach for the young Indian team during the five-match twenty 20 international series against Australia. In addition, VVS Laxman was commended for his exceptional work as the NCA Head and acting Head Coach.
