On Super Bowl Sunday, Tom Cruise delivered what fans had been craving by sharing a new teaser promotion for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning which awaits viewers in the future. He continues to elevate his daredevil image – literally – by suspending himself from a plane during flight in recent footage. The teaser begins with Ethan Hunt sprinting through a dense forest at sunrise, diving underwater and scaling an in-flight airplane. The video showcases the reunion between Cruise and his co-stars Vanessa Kirby and Hayley Atwell while hinting at intense action-packed moments throughout the clip. The incredible action sequences promise an exhilarating new mission for the legendary hero Hunt which Tom Cruise has played since the 1996 premiere of the first Mission: Impossible film. Cruise revealed that the toughest stunt in The Final Reckoning required him to hang upside down from a 1930s Boeing Stearman biplane at 10,000 feet altitude. The actor revealed that during the stunt, the extreme altitude made him pass out repeatedly due to oxygen deprivation as the plane moved at 130 miles per hour. “There were moments where I physically passed out because I couldn’t breathe,” Cruise revealed his experience to Empire magazine. Despite the danger, Cruise pushed himself to undergo extensive training with the aim of getting the stunt just right. Viewers saw this incredible moment along with a behind-the-scenes video on the latest teaser and the social media post from Cruise which he titled “Hang on.” Under Christopher McQuarrie’s direction, the star-studded Mission: Impossible cast leads the way to a thrilling May release date for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.
