VodafoneThree has introduced ambitious plans to expand its broadband customer numbers by half while investing billions into UK infrastructure development. The merged company between Vodafone and Three UK now serves 27 million customers while promising to invest £11 billion through 2034 mainly for 5G network expansion.
The company which started its broadband expansion in 2015 now targets to increase its broadband user base from 2 million to 4 million during the next eight years. The company will accelerate its growth through partnerships with Openreach and CityFibre and Community Fibre.
The VodafoneThree merger will simplify operations through the closure of 650 combined high street stores yet guarantees no job losses. The company will establish 400 new customer service positions in the UK which were previously handled by foreign contractors. The company plans to establish between 12,000 to 13,000 new positions each year throughout the upcoming decade when infrastructure construction reaches its peak.
The company rejects all takeover rumors about TalkTalk while concentrating on achieving 99% 5G coverage across the UK by 2034. The company has dedicated £1.3 billion from its 2025 budget to start its British telecom transformation initiative.
