The Delhi government is going to launch the ‘Mahila Samriddhi Yojana’ on March 8, under this scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month to women who meet the eligibility criteria. Who Can Apply? To apply for this scheme, women must fulfill the following conditions: Resident of Delhi. Family income should not exceed ₹3 lakh per annum. Not a taxpayer. Not a government employee. Not getting any financial assistance under other government schemes. Age between 18 to 60 years. How to Apply? The Delhi government is creating an online application form to facilitate the application process. The IT department is also preparing the software for verification and eligibility check. The application forms will be linked to the Aadhaar numbers for authentication purpose. Required Documents As of now, there is no clarity on what documents are required to apply for the scheme, but it is expected that applicants may need to submit: Aadhaar card Ration card Address proof A registered mobile number After entering the details, the system will check for the eligibility of the candidate. If any applicant is discovered to be a taxpayer or to be receiving other forms of government assistance, the application may not be processed. It was one of the major election promises for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, and the BJP has promised to implement it in its first cabinet meeting after coming to power.
