Prime Minister Modi will go to the US for a three-day visit beginning on September 21. He will speak at the UNGA’s “Summit of the Future” and attend the yearly Quad Summit while he is there.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), U.S. President Joe Biden will host the fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit in Wilmington, Delaware on September 21. Prime Minister Modi is expected to participate. While India was originally supposed to host the Quad Summit this year, the MEA said that, at the US’s request, India has agreed to host the gathering in 2025.
The MEA states that “At the Quad Summit, leaders will assess the progress made over the previous year and map out the future, concentrating on the development goals and aspirations of countries within the Indo-Pacific region.” The summit ought to promote cooperation on significant local, national, and global issues like security, economic growth, and climate change.
At the United Nations General Assembly’s “Summit of the Future” in New York on September 23, Prime Minister Modi will deliver a speech. World leaders will be gathering there to discuss and create a bold agenda for global governance. Before that, on September 22, Modi is anticipated to engage with the Indian diaspora at a community event in New York, highlighting the continued tight ties between India and its citizens worldwide.
In addition to these high-profile encounters, Modi will also hold discussions with the CEOs of leading US companies, aiming to strengthen collaboration in critical domains like as semiconductors, biotechnology, AI, and quantum computing.
According to the MEA, Prime Minister Modi will meet with powerful individuals and thought leaders who actively work to strengthen the bilateral relationship between India and the US. These interactions are expected to build on the momentum of recent diplomatic encounters by fortifying the strategic and economic links between the two nations.
