AI Summit - Business Outrank

Narendra Modi asked India to invest in training its workforce because AI needs human talent to transform India while participating in the AI Action Summit at the Grand Palais in Paris. The greatest threat from AI's disruptive nature is job loss according to him. However, he emphasized, "History shows that work doesn’t disappear due to technology—it simply changes its nature." The summit reached its peak with PM Modi partnering Emmanuel Macron as co-chairs. He advocated for open-source systems development to build trust along with unbiased data centers and universal accessibility for AI technology with a focus on regions in the Global South. He emphasized the need to tackle universal threats posed by deepfakes as well as cybersecurity risks and disinformation through international collaboration to establish AI governance and shared standards. "AI is developing at an unprecedented scale and speed," Modi said. "This global interdependence demands a united approach to governance that upholds our shared values and builds trust." As a force, AI stands ready to elevate numerous life trajectories while enhancing health services and educational systems and agricultural practices to achieve sustainable development goals. The prime minister underscored the need for AI solutions rooted in local ecosystems to ensure their effectiveness. He recommended that governance should focus on ensuring access for all, particularly in areas which lack power, data and resources. Global talent collaboration according to PM Modi will transform artificial intelligence into a beneficial world force which connects opportunities and bridges divisions across the planet.
