While most banks in the country will be open as usual to serve customers financial needs on that day it's worth noting that all government and private sector banks, in Arunachal Pradesh will be closed on this occasion.The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially declared this holiday in honor of Losar, the Tibetan New Year celebration. Losar holds importance for the Tibetan Buddhist community as an spiritual occasion that is joyously observed in various regions such, as Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh to Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim alike. This festive period not signifies the commencement of a year but also embodies themes of abundance the rejuvenation of nature and a spiritual purging. Individuals mark this occasion by tidying their residences illuminating their surroundings with lamps crafting dishes, like Guthuk and Khabse partaking in prayers vibrant processions and customary dances held at monasteries.
