Ford Business Solutions - Business Outrank

Ford Business Solutions (FBS), the technology and business services division of Ford Global, has established a new office in Bengaluru, India. This new site is in addition to the Global Capability Center (GCC) that FBS has in Chennai, India, and where it currently has about 12,000 people on the staff. During the four years from 2025, FBS expects to grow its headcount in India by 2,000 people. Mike Amend is the Chief Enterprise Technology Officer at Ford and said that India is becoming more significant to the company’s global network. "Ford has been in India for more than 25 years, starting with accounting services and then moving into technology. At present, our Indian teams support global functions in product development, supply chain, finance, HR, marketing, and manufacturing engineering." he explained. Unlike some other companies, which delegate certain functions to specific regional offices, FBS India is a center that performs global functions, providing support to North America, Europe, and other major regions. The new office in Bengaluru, which is a branch of the Chennai GCC, can facilitate about 350 employees, 75 of whom are currently based at the site. Amend explained that the new Bengaluru office was established to address the need for specialized talents in fields that are in high demand, such as cybersecurity, AI, DevSecOps, and DevOps, which are essential to our global technology initiatives." While Chennai is the company's operational base, Bengaluru was chosen for its talent in digital technology and AI. talent. This expansion will enable Ford Business Solutions to improve its technological sophistication and strengthen its status as a global innovation center in the company's digital revolution.
