Hindon - Business Outrank

Air India Express is set to start operations from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad on March 1, 2025, making it the first airline in India to operate from two airports in the National Capital Region (NCR), including Indira Gandhi International Airport as well as Hindon. Hindon to Bengaluru, Goa and Kolkata would be connected with daily flights (except Saturdays) that would give the travelers an option within NCR. Being in Ghaziabad, Hindon Airport is more easily accessible to people in East Delhi, Noida and nearby areas. It also works for the small plane and aspiring travelers from western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, enhancing air travel accessibility. The rates for the inaugural flights from Hindon–Kolkata and Hindon–Bengaluru begin at ₹4,400 and ₹6,200 respectively with bookings now being taken on the airline’s website and other platforms. This expansion is similar to IndiGo’s approach of using several airports in a metro area to build up connectivity and affordability. Hindon Airport currently has Star Air’s regional services to Kalaburagi and Hubli. The addition of Air India Express is likely to make Hindon a vital hub in NCR’s aviation market.
