Oswal Pumps - Business Outrank

Oswal Pumps announced a major solar-powered agriculture expansion in Maharashtra through their successful acquisition of a ₹442 crore order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The contract requires Oswal Pumps to deliver 14,787 off-grid direct current solar water pumping systems to farmers throughout the state through supply and installation and testing and commissioning services. The PM Kusum B Scheme and Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana support this initiative which promotes renewable energy in agriculture through the reduction of conventional power usage. The letter of award remains valid for one year while each installation requires completion within 60 days from receiving the work order or obtaining relevant approvals. The PM-KUSUM scheme initiated in 2019 established a target to deploy 30,800 MW of solar capacity through significant central financial backing. The pandemic caused delays but the program now extends until March 2026 to meet its extensive goals which include standalone and grid-connected solar-powered agriculture pump installations. The substantial project supports Maharashtra's renewable energy strategy by providing farmers with green water solutions that help India achieve its clean energy objectives.
