Mamata Banerjee Alleges CBI's Political Targeting In a dramatic turn of events, Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, has accused the central authorities of planting the weapons and explosives that were found in a house in Sandeshkhali, a riverine delta near the Sundarbans in the North Parganas district . Mamata Banerjee's charges came after the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) directed search tasks at numerous areas in Sandeshkhali on Friday, April 26, 2024, and held onto a significant store of weapons, including unfamiliar made guns, guns, and ammo . Mamata Banerjee denied the CBI's claims in an address to a public gathering in Kulti, West Burdwan district. She said there was "no concrete evidence" to back up the CBI's findings. . "It is astonishing to observe that the Trinamool Congress is approaching the Supreme Court and the Election Commission to thwart the CBI investigation in Sandeshkhali," BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar stated. The CBI's examination and the TMC's claims have added to the political strains in the state, with the two sides blaming each other for coordinating a plot to ruin the other during the continuous Lok Sabha races .
