Amazon India established a major real estate presence by acquiring 94,254 sq ft of office space in Vikhroli Mumbai which demonstrates its ongoing expansion across the Indian market. The real estate analytics firm CRE Matrix reports that Amazon India pays ₹1.73 crore each month for this leased space.
The offices of Amazon India operate from Godrej Two which represents a premium commercial tower in Vikhroli East that Godrej Properties developed through Larsen & Toubro construction. The five-year lease agreement started on January 1, 2025 and contains a 48-month lock-in period. The rent will increase by 5% every year throughout the entire lease duration.
The office space is occupied by four Amazon India entities which include Amazon Seller Services and Amazon Development Centre India and Amazon Data Services India and Amazon Smart Commerce Solutions. The largest portion of 42,700 sq ft belongs to Amazon Seller Services while the remaining space is distributed among the other entities.
The agreement became final without requiring a security deposit while the registration occurred on April 30, 2025. The strategic move demonstrates Amazon India’s expanding operations and its enduring dedication to expand its operations across India.
