In response to the claims about his child support payments, Elon Musk used the phrase “money vastly in excess” while engaging in a heated online spat with a YouTuber in the US, Zack Nelson, also known as JerryRigEverything. The clash, however, began when Nelson accused Musk of not supporting his children, alleging that the billionaire ‘abandons a 5-month-old’ and doesn’t pay child support to others.
Elon Musk, in his response, called Nelson an ‘utter liar’ and defended his financial support. “I have always paid extremely generous child support and without any coercion to do so,” Musk said. He also pointed out, “Sometimes the mother asked for money vastly in excess of what the children could possibly need, so that needed to be adjudicated.”
The debate further ramped up when Nelson asked Musk how many children he has fathered, due to the billionaire’s complicated family situation. Musk, who has 12 children with three different women has been often in the news regarding his love life. The conversation, however, dug up old claims by ex-girlfriend Grimes who accused Musk of ignoring their child and social media star Ashley St Clair who claimed to have Elon’s 13th child.
The tech mogul’s parents have not been exempt from the spotlight either; Elon’s father, Errol Musk, went as far as to call Elon a bad father, accusing him of not spending much time with his late first child due to being more inclined towards hiring nannies.
